Making Learning Visible: Is the Value in Feedback?

Last night, in the first session of our #etmooc, we were encouraged to make our learning visible.

That idea sparked a few new questions that I intend to investigate throughout the course:

  • Is visible learning valuable because it increases the access to feedback?
  • Is peer-to-peer feedback (aka social learning) more dynamic and valuable than feedback from an expert or instructor?
  • Since visible learning makes progress more transparent, does it increase motivation for learners?

I may not find the answers to these questions, but I’m hopeful the experience will help me refine and debate them!
