Edmodo is a powerful tool to use as a teacher with students as well as for professional development.  Today, our teachers are setting up accounts for our next faculty meeting.  It will take place from our computers.  It’s an online academy for our PLN! 

The best part of today is connecting with the third graders who’s teacher setup a classi Edmodo.  They are so excited!  After showing the teacher the website and giving her some ideas to post, such as Khan Academy, she posted a great video teaching basic multiplication.  Her students were all over it this morning in class. 

The spark is growing! 

Today, I also took down shelving in my media center to make room for an interactive white board.  I just made enough with my second book fair of the year to cover the cost.  The only thing to do now is paint and live with the two colors of carpet for a few months until new is installed (see picture).  Sometimes progress is ugly. 🙂
