And the winner is…

DCTS students participated in a DECA district competition on December 19, 2013. The event took place at a nearby hotel, The Best Western Premier of Harrisburg. Students took home trophies in the following competitive events:

Our school also served as the event coordinator. My co-adviser took me under her wing and showed me the ropes as to what kinds of people, place and things are needed to pull off such a huge, successful competition. There were trophy orders, judges luncheon, table signage, tabulation room, scan tron machine, scan tron papers, pencils, permission slips, itineraries, guest speaker, and more. Next year I will be the go-to person, and I am excited to step-up to the challenge that awaits. I took lots of notes and pictures. I most certainly will be sure to bring back the DCTS trophy winners next year, too!
