Whiteboard Animation Videos

Recently, I have seen many presentations where it looks like an artist is drawing during the presentation.  I absolutely love these videos and have become somewhat obsessed with wanting to learn how to make one myself.
Below are some examples that I have recently made.  I’ll explain more after the presentations.

This type of presentation is called Whiteboard Animation.  There are many companies out there that can do this for you, but I am a do-it-yourself kind of gal.  I found one product that was relatively easy to use.  Right now, I have a trial subscription for the program.  It is called VideoScribe (http://www.sparkol.com/products/videoscribe).  There are programs available out there as well, such as: Doodle Speed, 321 Fast Draw, and PowToon). I highly recommend giving one of them a try! VideoScribe is extremely user friendly with loads of templates and music. I had the media center welcome video done in less than 30 minutes.  The drawback is that it is an expensive program.  PowToon, however, is FREE!  If you have a Google account, you can add it to your Google Apps (also one of my favorite things).  I have created a sample of the Whiteboard Animation using Powtoon below.  Both programs are very easy, each offering a different kind of end result.

Enjoy!
