I am so excited to start the new school year.  Yesterday as I was leading an orientation with new teachers, I was called to the principal’s office.  Now, I had only been in the building for about a half hour and knew I couldn’t have done anything to be in trouble for already ;).  I quickly finished the dos and don’ts of the copier and went to see what I was needed for.    To my complete surprise, my principal had a letter from the Georgia Library Media Association.  She began to read it to me as i sat down, telling me I had been named the South Metro District winner!!

I am truly honored and surprised to be named the winner.

I work with a wonderful group of library media specialists in Henry County and it will be my honor to represent them all at the state level in October!
