Enter: ETMOOC

Back in December I was thinking about 2013 and what it was to bring, indeed fast forward a month or so and there was the blog post about the goals for the year. Somewhere in between here and there entered etmooc. I have a bit on for the year, hopefully finishing my masters and working on some other qualifications which I need (indeed, for the first time in my life I am currently enrolled at TAFE and doing a certificate course). But I found the concept behind etmooc intriguing, and I think this may actually assist me with a bit of what it is that I am trying to do this year.

One of the things I have wanted to do for a while was blog and tweet more, in order to do that I need to “get over” worrying about quite a few things. While there is a massive, positive and collaborative network of educators worldwide, there appears to be not that same culture within my own system of working in this way – which is a shame, we do some wonderful things here.

So with the goal of being more globally collaborative and connected… Enter: etmooc.

So far things are okay. I have been through the overwhelming stage (although I fully expect it to return), watched a replay of the first of the orientation Illuminate sessions and contemplated how I am going to do my introduction. Me talking it is out – week 4 of my summer break and I am still sick (have been since the beginning) and have no voice. I predict writing, but we shall see what I can come up with. Perhaps I can get creative.

But that is a job for tomorrow.
