I heard about the #etmooc on Sunday. I registered to it on Monday and created an introductory video and a etmooc dedicated blog. I started reading everything on the #etmooc blog and felt overwhelmed not knowing what I got myself into, and not fully understanding how a mooc works. I read a few blogs and articles, pros and con, but I can’t say it really helped me understand. The only way to find out was to do it! So here I am, etmoocing for the first time.

It took me a few hours to work my way through all the new information I was exposed to. I thought I was a techno teacher, only to realize that there is so much more I can do. I searched all the #etmooc related sites and felt so thrilled to be connected with this amazing community.

My first breakdown was with my 3G connection. I cannot connect to Blackboard collaborative. Using the #etmooc archive I hope to be able to watch all the videos I missed. It takes a very long time to load after I open the jnlp document, well actually nothing happens, for hours.

My first breakthrough happened with twitter, I started viewing it in a different way and I now I can see all its potential. I realized the importance to have technological role models. A few years ago, I was introduced socially to these networks: I got an invitation to hang out, just as I would get one to hang out at a pub. Now, I am enjoying being a little girl and looking up to my new role models.

I am not exactly sure what  should this blog be about. Is it to blog about our experience? Will we have work to do and post it here? If I am doing it wrong, please someone tell me.
