*wipes dust off blog*

Hello friends, it’s been a long time since I wrote anything on here!  In case your wondering there’s been a six month silence below are a few of the reasons why …

1.  I discovered that helping young people is what really makes me tick so I’ve changed jobs and returned to mentoring  
2.I’ve suffered from a quite a serious illness, boo. However I’ve hopefully found the right medication so won’t have a relapse (yay)

3.I’ve moved house 

4. I’ve spent a lot of time getting out of my old work-a-holic habits and have been improving my work-life balance

Now that life’s a lot more zen I’ve decided to get back into writing. This  has also been helped by the fact that I’m about to start a research project for the the East Midlands Centre for Excellence in Teacher Training (emCETT) and will be using this blog to document my progress.

The project is an investigation into the effectiveness of Audio Notetaker as a revision tool for A Level students. I trained all of our AS students on how to use the software  last week and have the A2′s booked in from Monday. We’ve just had ‘the call’ from mocksted so next weeks going to be fun!
