An interesting mix: Chromebook and Raspberry pi

Last week I spent some time with a chrome book. It was the cheapest one on the Scottish procurement. I was surprised how responsive it was, quick to start up, reasonable trackpad and OK keyboard.

Robots are taking over our media center!

Today I introduced my students to Eagle and Star, our new Sphero robots.  Needless to say, the kids LOVE them and were very excited to see all the apps that can make these little balls come to life!

My favorite apps to use with Sphero are:
Sphero Draw n’ Drive;  With this app, students can draw a simple design on the screen of the Ipad and then press play to see the Sphero create the design on the floor.
