This week I have learnt a very good handy and useful tool to be used to store and share links.  I will certainly use this tool for my online teaching and in-class hybrid teaching. I would recommend it to my students as well to share links with me instead of sending them to me through e-mail.

Changing How We Teach – It is a Process!

Picture

In getting ready to co-present with my principal at Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Regional School  Divisional PD Day, I was inspired to write the following post on why it is important to change how we teach our students today.

I realize that for most educators time is at a premium and so too are the demands to met the needs of all the children in the classroom.

#opened12 – The First Pitch

The Voice By Shel Silverstein
There is a voice inside of you
that whispers all day long.
“I feel that this is right for me,
I know that this is wrong.”
No teacher, preacher, parent, friend
or wise man can decide
what’s right for you – just listen to
the voice that speaks inside.

Video Curation

This is a lesson plan I decided to deliver to my students using video.

Aims:

  • to follow instructions from a video to make a personal project
  • to report on videos we have watched together
  • to expand vocabulary using synonyms of “good” and “bad”
  • to use technology to curate video clips
  • to use technology to record your comments

Now, you can start working on your own, and you can choose how you will present your final project.

The OC@ADLC

The OC@ADLC stands for the Open Classroom at Alberta Distance Learning Center .
